Is and Erasmus+ project related to the adult education sector that focuses on issues related to the environment and climate change.
The different outputs will make adults aware of the consequences of climate change and of the impact it has in our environment and lives. Furthermore, an educational opportunity is also available for educators who can find didactic support dedicated to them on environmental issues.

The Project
Climate change is one of the greatest threats to sustainable development. The last five years have been the warmest on record since 1880. Sea levels are rising and more frequent natural disasters, such as cyclones and tropical storms, are threatening people’s homes and livelihoods. Tackling climate change requires action at all levels of society, from individuals and educators to policy makers and businesses. By promoting awareness, innovation and learning about climate change, communities and individuals can be helped to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt effectively to climate change. Lots of information and educational material on the climate have been published or can be found online. This documentation helps students understand the causes and consequences of climate change and allows them to take appropriate actions to adopt more sustainable lifestyles…

PROJECT RESULTS

Educational Kit
An introductory educational package designed to raise awareness among adults, particularly those with low education levels or a migration background, about the causes and consequences of climate change. The material is available in Italian, English, Greek, German and Arabic.

E-learning course for trainers in adult education
A training course designed for educators and trainers in adult education, providing methodologies and materials to integrate climate topics into teaching. The collection includes 60 activities, ranging from short and simple exercises to more elaborate projects, covering various school subjects, such as social sciences, geography, foreign languages, history, psychology, mathematics, economics, biology, chemistry, physics, and art.

One Degree Handbook
An educational and training manual that explores key climate change concepts in simple and accessible language. It provides practical examples and tools to help individuals understand and reduce their environmental impact, covering topics such as sustainable mobility, ecological footprint, household energy consumption, sustainable housing, food waste, and responsible shopping.

Join the E-learning Platform
The interactive web portal gathers all project materials, including the educational kit, e-learning course, and handbook. The platform is available in four languages, offers a user-friendly interface, and includes a podcast page and a video section with educational resources to enhance learning.

Mobile App
An Android application, available for free download from the Google Play Store, enabling access to all project content directly from smartphones and tablets. The app enhances mobility and flexibility in learning, allowing users to access materials anytime and anywhere.
